Your guests hand us an email address to get their photo. That puts a real obligation on us, and this page is how we meet it. Last updated August 27, 2026.
When you book: your name and your co-host's name, email address, mobile number, event date and type, shipping ZIP and address, and your venue name if you give it. We need each of these to build, ship and support your rental.
Your payment card is handled entirely by Stripe. We receive a token that lets us charge it for the amounts described in the rental terms, and the last four digits. We never see or store the full number.
The booth asks a guest for an email address or mobile number so it can send them their own photo. Providing it is entirely optional — a guest can use the booth, take a print and walk away without giving us anything.
We use a guest's contact detail to deliver their photos and, if they have agreed to it, to occasionally tell them about our photography work. Every message includes a one-click unsubscribe, and we never sell or rent guest contact details to anyone.
Photos and videos taken at your event upload to a gallery we host for you. The gallery is reachable by anyone with the link so your guests can find their own — it is not indexed by search engines.
You can ask us to take the gallery down, or to delete specific images, at any time, and we will do it.
Booking records are kept while they are needed for tax and accounting purposes. Galleries are kept until you ask us to remove them. Guest contact details are removed on request, and immediately on unsubscribe.
Stripe, for payments. USPS and our label provider, for the address on the box. Mapbox, if you use address autocomplete on your event page — it sees what you type into that field. Our own hosting and email infrastructure. That is the whole list — we do not sell your data or your guests' data to anyone, for any purpose.
Email hello@knotbooth.com and tell us what you want removed. This applies to you and to any of your guests, who can write to us directly. We will confirm when it is done.
